Hot Honey Shrimps 🍤

Sweet, spicy, salt, and full of flavor! These Hot Honey Shrimps are tender and coated in a glossy sauce with just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Served with garlicky broccoli and rice, this dish makes the ultimate quick and satisfying dinner.

Cooking time: 20-35 minutes

Serves: 1-2 people 

Ingredients: 

  • 200g shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • Cornstarch
  • Rice (enough for 2 people)
  • Broccoli
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish 

Sauce mixture:

Instructions: 

  1. Prepare the rice according to the package instructions. 
  2. Coat the shrimps lightly in cornstarch. Heat in a pan the oil and pan-fry until golden and crispy. Remove and set it aside. 
  3. In the same pan, add in the sauce mixture and let it bubble for 1-2 minutes. 
  4. Add the shrimps back into the pan and toss until fully coated in the sauce. 
  5. Boil the broccoli until just tender. In another pan, heat a little oil, sauté 1 tbsp minced garlic until fragrant, then add the broccoli. Stir-fry with 1 tbsp soy sauce, salt, and pepper. 
  6. Plate up, top it off with some sesame seeds and enjoy!
