
Vietnamese Pizza (Bánh Tráng Nướng) 🍕
Crispy rice paper layered with egg, spring onions, savoury sauces, and a bold chilli oil base that brings the heat. Inspired by Vietnamese street food, this is your new go-to snack when you want something quick, crunchy, and wildly satisfying!
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets rice paper
- 2 eggs
- 1-2 tbsp Chilli Chan's crispy chilli oil
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp mayo
Optional toppings:
- Shredded mozzarella
- Crispy shallots
- Fried garlic
- Crushed peanuts
- Pork floss
- Sautéed mushrooms
- Fresh coriander
Instructions:
- Place one sheet of rice paper on a non-stick pan (no oil needed) over medium-low heat.
- Crack 1-2 eggs directly onto the rice paper and use a spatula or chopsticks to gently spread the eggs evenly across the surface.
- Add 1-2 tbsp of Chilli Chan's crispy chilli oil and spread it over the egg layer. Sprinkle the chopped spring onions evenly on top.
- Drizzle 1 tbsp of mayonnaise in thin lines over the surface.
- You can customize your bánh tráng nướng with toppings of your choice.
- Let the rice paper cook for 2-3 minutes until the egg is set and the bottom is golden and crispy. Use a spatula to check that the rice paper isn't burning, adjust the hear if needed.
- Slide the bánh tráng nướng onto a cutting board, slice into wedges, and enjoy while it't hot!
