Cottage Cheese Buns with Asian Twist ♨️

High-protein, low-calorie, and packed with bold flavors! These cottage cheese buns are soft and fluffy on the inside with a savory Asian twist from Chinese sausages, melty cheese, and a drizzle of hot honey chili oil. Perfect as a snack or even a mini pizza base!

Total cooking time: 30–40 minutes
Serves: 2–3 people

Ingredients:

  • 400g cottage cheese 
  • 3 eggs 
  • 150g flour 
  • 1 tsp baking powder 
  • Seasonings of choice (salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder etc.) 
  • Chinese sausages, sliced 
  • Mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend 
  • Tomato sauce or paste (optional) 
  • Chilli Chan's Hot Honey Chilli Oil (for topping) 

Instructions: 

  1. Add 400g cottage cheese and 3 eggs to a mixing bowl. Blend with an immersion blender to get the perfect smooth texture. A hand mixer works too. 
  2. Add 150g of flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, and your seasonings. Stir until combined. 
  3. Fold in how much Chinese sausages and cheese blend you want. 
  4. On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, shape the dough into flat circles. If you'd like a pizza-style bun, spread tomato sauce on top. 
  5. Add extra cheese and sausages on top. Bake at 200°C for 30–40 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Drizzle with hot honey chili oil before serving and enjoy!
