Hot Chocolate Mousse

This silky hot chocolate mousse is smooth, rich, and irresistibly light, made with STACH X Chilli Chan's milk chocolate bar flavoured with our chilli for a subtle kick that lingers. It’s sweet, a little spicy, and just bold enough to make dessert feel unforgettable.

Cooking Time: 20 min + 3 hours chilling 

Serves: 4 portions 

Ingredients:

  • 185 g STACH X Chilli Chan's Milk Chocolate bar with Chilivlokken & Zeezout
  • 25 g butter 
  • 4 eggs
  • 30 g sugar 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Strawberries (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions: 

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together over a bain-marie (water bath). Stir until smooth, then let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  3. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until pale, fluffy, and lighter in colour.
  4. In a clean bowl, whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently mix the cooled melted chocolate into the whipped yolk mixture.
  6. Fold in the whipped egg whites gradually, using a spatula. Be gentle to keep the mixture airy and smooth.
  7. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until set.
  8. Once set, decorate with your favourite berries and whipped cream before serving.
